The RIGHT resolutions

1 John 3:18

King James Version

18 My little children, let us not love in word,

neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

The simplest definitions are always the coolest.

My English teacher once said, VERBS are ACTION words.

Let us not be like politicians who talk too much, but do little.

Whether you're born again, or not, you need to know these verbs.

For the times are right, and ripe, to act.

Consider these your NEW YEAR's resolutions.

Here's where SPIRIT and Scripture led me to.

An EASY-to-remember summary follows.

Psalm 37:3-8

King James Version

3 Trust in the Lord, and do good;

so shalt thou dwell in the land,

and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 Delight thyself also in the Lord:

and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 Commit thy way unto the Lord;

trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 And he shall bring forth

thy righteousness as the light,

and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 Rest in the Lord,

and wait patiently for him:

fret not thyself because of him

who prospereth in his way,

because of the man

who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath:

fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

Psalm 37:27

King James Version

27 Depart from evil, and do good;

and dwell for evermore.

Psalm 37:34

King James Version

34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way,

and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land:

when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye,

and believe the gospel.

Mark 12:30

King James Version

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God

with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind,

and with all thy strength:

this is the first commandment.

Mark 12:31

King James Version

31 And the second is like,

namely this,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

There is none other commandment

greater than these.

Luke 11:9

King James Version

9 And I say unto you,

Ask, and it shall be given you;

seek, and ye shall find;

knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

John 3:7

King James Version

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

John 13:34

King James Version

34 A new commandment I give unto you,

That ye love one another; as I have loved you,

that ye also love one another.

Acts 16:31

King James Version

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Ephesians 6:10-11

King James Version

10 Finally, my brethren,

be strong in the Lord,

and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God,

that ye may be able to stand

against the wiles of the devil.

Colossians 3:1-2

King James Version

3 If ye then be risen with Christ,

seek those things which are above,

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above,

not on things on the earth.

Colossians 3:23

King James Version

23 And whatsoever ye do,

do it heartily, as to the Lord,

and not unto men;

James 1:5-6

King James Version

5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,

that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;

and it shall be given him.

6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.

For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea

driven with the wind and tossed.

James 4:7

King James Version

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

1 Peter 1:13

King James Version

13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind,

be sober,

and hope to the end for the grace

that is to be brought unto you

at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

Revelation 19:10

King James Version

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him.

And he said unto me, See thou do it not:

I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren

that have the testimony of Jesus:

worship God:

for the testimony of Jesus

is the spirit of prophecy.

James, the younger brother of JESUS, wrote the need for "ACTION" in his epistle:

James 1:22

King James Version

22 But be ye doers of the word

and not hearers only,

deceiving your own selves.

James 4:17

King James Version

17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good,

and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

Here's to a GLORIOUS 2025!

As we think, speak, and act, according to the WILL of GOD.

And do everything for His GLORY alone.

Even as we serve others.

DO in 2025

JESUS commands us:

Mark 1:15

King James Version

15 And saying,

The time is fulfilled,

and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye,

and believe the gospel.

Today is the last day of 2024.

At least, from where I live.

Soon, it will be 2025.

What must we do?

How must we live?

What must we focus on?

How must the world be?

Will it be a better year for everyone?

Well, just know this:

Every day is PURE GRACE

from the LORD.

Every day is a bonus.

Every day is a chance to do better.

Every day is an invitation to know CHRIST.

Every day is an opportunity to learn from SPIRIT.

Every day is proof of GOD's LOVE for us.

As born again watchman, I know what I must do.

I must tell you these --

1. REPENT of your sins.

2. BELIEVE the gospel.

3. END terrorism and tyranny.

4. FIGHT for justice.

5. LOVE GOD above all.

6. BELIEVE in JESUS.

7. BECOME born again.

8. PREPARE for the Rapture.

9. UPHOLD the rights of children.

10. LIVE a life of holiness.

11. LISTEN to the HOLY SPIRIT.

12. PRAY that GOD's WILL be done.

TWELVE steps.

TWELVE verbs.

TWELVE acts to do.

The number 12 signifies "GOVERNMENTAL PERFECTION".

This, according to "Keys to Scripture Numerics".

We need to get Biblical, and real.

For change to come, we start with self.

Governance always starts with self.

We cannot criticize others, when self needs a review, too.

We must also honor the GOD of Jacob.

Only then can we create perfect governments.

Psalm 146:3-5

King James Version

3 Put not your trust in princes,

nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His breath goeth forth,

he returneth to his earth;

in that very day his thoughts perish.

5 Happy is he

that hath the God of Jacob for his help,

whose hope is in the Lord his God:

Lastly, a BLESSING for you, and your family, this 2025:

Numbers 6:24-26

King James Version

24 The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:

25 The Lord make his face shine upon thee,

and be gracious unto thee:

26 The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee,

and give thee peace.

PROTECT the CHILDREN

Matthew 27:3-4

King James Version

3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him,

when he saw that he was condemned,

repented himself,

and brought again the thirty pieces of silver

to the chief priests and elders,

4 Saying,

I have sinned in that

I have betrayed the innocent blood.

And they said,

What is that to us? see thou to that.

Nothing could be more cowardly, than this --

Feeding upon the innocence of children.

Feeding upon their trust.

Feeding upon their helplessness.

That will certainly incur the wrath of GOD.

It has been in my heart these past couple of days.

This even deeper concern for children.

Especially after reading about a warlord in Africa.

Who sacrificed children at the devil's altar.

That he may give power to his army.

And to the president he supports.

How could anyone commit such atrocities?

Unless they be of Satan?

Now, he's a pastor.

So I let the matter sit in my heart for a while.

Waiting for the HOLY SPIRIT to tell me more.

Because I did not know which approach to take.

Evil has many forms.

We've written about all that.

But what about the children?

What does Scripture say?

On this third day, the answers came.

Here are the verses SPIRIT led me to.

That we may be forewarned of the consequences.

Of the gravity of our deeds against children:

Genesis 1:26-27

King James Version

26 And God said,

Let us make man in our image,

after our likeness:

and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,

and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle,

and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing

that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image,

in the image of God created he him;

male and female created he them.

Genesis 2:7

King James Version

7 And the Lord God formed man

of the dust of the ground,

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;

and man became a living soul.

Genesis 9:6

King James Version

6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood,

by man shall his blood be shed:

for in the image of God made he man.

Exodus 20:13

King James Version

13 Thou shalt not kill.

Exodus 23:7

King James Version

7 Keep thee far from a false matter;

and the innocent and righteous slay thou not:

for I will not justify the wicked.

Psalm 127:3

King James Version

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord:

and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Proverbs 6:16-19

King James Version

16 These six things doth the Lord hate:

yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look,

a lying tongue,

and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations,

feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies,

and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Proverbs 21:15

King James Version

15 It is joy to the just to do judgment:

but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.

Proverbs 24:11-12

King James Version

11 If thou forbear to deliver them

that are drawn unto death,

and those that are ready to be slain;

12 If thou sayest,

Behold, we knew it not;

doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it?

and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it?

and shall not he render to every man

according to his works?

Isaiah 1:17

King James Version

17 Learn to do well;

seek judgment,

relieve the oppressed,

judge the fatherless,

plead for the widow.

Jeremiah 22:3

King James Version

3 Thus saith the Lord;

Execute ye judgment and righteousness,

and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor:

 and do no wrong,

do no violence to the stranger,

the fatherless,

nor the widow,

neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Jeremiah 32:35

King James Version

35 And they built the high places of Baal,

which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom,

to cause their sons and their daughters

to pass through the fire unto Molech;

which I commanded them not,

neither came it into my mind,

that they should do this abomination,

to cause Judah to sin.

Matthew 18:1-7

King James Version

18 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus,

saying,

Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?

2 And Jesus called a little child unto him,

and set him in the midst of them,

3 And said, Verily I say unto you,

Except ye be converted,

and become as little children,

ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore

shall humble himself as this little child,

the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive

one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend

one of these little ones which believe in me,

it were better for him that a millstone

were hanged about his neck,

and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

7 Woe unto the world because of offences!

for it must needs be that offences come;

but woe to that man

by whom the offence cometh!

Matthew 18:14

King James Version

14 Even so it is not the will of your Father

which is in heaven,

that one of these little ones should perish.

Matthew 23:35

King James Version

35 That upon you may come

all the righteous blood shed upon the earth,

from the blood of righteous Abel

unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias,

whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Matthew 25:40

King James Version

40 And the King shall answer and say unto them,

Verily I say unto you,

Inasmuch as ye have done it

unto one of the least of these my brethren,

ye have done it unto me.

Matthew 25:45-46

King James Version

45 Then shall he answer them,

saying,

Verily I say unto you,

Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these,

ye did it not to me.

46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment:

but the righteous into life eternal.

Mark 12:30-31

King James Version

30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God

with all thy heart,

and with all thy soul,

and with all thy mind,

and with all thy strength:

this is the first commandment.

31 And the second is like, namely this,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

There is none other commandment

greater than these.

Luke 12:4-5

King James Version

4 And I say unto you my friends,

Be not afraid of them that kill the body,

and after that have no more that they can do.

5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear:

Fear him,

which after he hath killed

hath power to cast into hell;

yea, I say unto you,

Fear him.

Luke 13:23-24

King James Version

23 Then said one unto him,

Lord, are there few that be saved?

And he said unto them,

24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate:

for many, I say unto you,

will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.

John 15:6

King James Version

6 If a man abide not in me,

he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;

and men gather them,

and cast them into the fire,

and they are burned.

Romans 13:8-10

King James Version

8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another:

 for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this,

Thou shalt not commit adultery,

Thou shalt not kill,

Thou shalt not steal,

Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Thou shalt not covet;

and if there be any other commandment,

it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely,

Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour:

therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

James 3:6

King James Version

6 And the tongue is a fire,

a world of iniquity:

so is the tongue among our members,

that it defileth the whole body,

and setteth on fire the course of nature;

and it is set on fire of hell.

James 3:8-10

King James Version

8 But the tongue can no man tame;

it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

9 Therewith bless we God, even the Father;

and therewith curse we men,

which are made after the similitude of God.

10 Out of the same mouth

proceedeth blessing and cursing.

My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Jude 12-13

King James Version

12 These are spots in your feasts of charity,

when they feast with you,

feeding themselves without fear:

clouds they are without water,

carried about of winds;

trees whose fruit withereth,

without fruit,

twice dead,

plucked up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea,

foaming out their own shame;

wandering stars,

to whom is reserved

the blackness of darkness for ever.

Jude 14-16

King James Version

14 And Enoch also,

the seventh from Adam,

prophesied of these, saying,

Behold,

the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all,

and to convince all that are ungodly among them

of all their ungodly deeds

which they have ungodly committed,

and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners

have spoken against him.

16 These are murmurers,

complainers,

walking after their own lusts;

and their mouth speaketh great swelling words,

having men's persons in admiration

because of advantage.

Revelation 21:7-8

King James Version

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things;

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8 But the fearful, and unbelieving,

and the abominable, and murderers,

and whoremongers, and sorcerers,

and idolaters, and all liars,

shall have their part in the lake

which burneth with fire and brimstone:

which is the second death.

THANK the LORD

Colossians 3:17

King James Version

17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed,

do all in the name of the Lord Jesus,

giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

How often do we thank GOD?

How often do we feel grateful for all our blessings?

How often do we stop to acknowledge the LORD?

This world may keep us busy, but we must look to JESUS.

The SON showed us how to be grateful to the FATHER.

In everything He thought, said, and did.

John 17:22-23

King James Version

22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them;

that they may be one, even as we are one:

23 I in them, and thou in me,

that they may be made perfect in one;

and that the world may know that thou hast sent me,

and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

This world was designed to keep us busy, that we may forget the LORD.

Look to the devil's devices, which keep us distracted.

As for me, this I do, as born again in CHRIST:

Joshua 24:15

King James Version

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,

choose you this day whom ye will serve;

whether the gods which your fathers served

that were on the other side of the flood,

or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:

but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

Why are we to thank the LORD?

SPIRIT and Scripture tell us why:

1 Chronicles 16:34

King James Version

34 O give thanks unto the Lord;

for he is good;

for his mercy endureth for ever.

Jonah 2:9

King James Version

9 But I will sacrifice unto thee

with the voice of thanksgiving;

I will pay that that I have vowed.

Salvation is of the Lord.

Romans 11:36

King James Version

36 For of him,

and through him,

and to him,

are all things:

to whom be glory for ever.

Amen.

1 Corinthians 15:57

King James Version

57 But thanks be to God,

which giveth us the victory

through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Colossians 1:12-14

King James Version

12 Giving thanks unto the Father,

which hath made us meet

to be partakers of the inheritance

of the saints in light:

13 Who hath delivered us

from the power of darkness,

and hath translated us

into the kingdom of his dear Son:

14 In whom we have redemption through his blood,

even the forgiveness of sins:

Colossians 3:15

King James Version

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,

to the which also ye are called in one body;

and be ye thankful.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

King James Version

18 In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus

concerning you.

Revelation 5:12-13

King James Version

12 Saying with a loud voice,

Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power,

and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour,

and glory, and blessing.

13 And every creature which is in heaven,

and on the earth,

and under the earth,

and such as are in the sea,

and all that are in them,

heard I saying,

Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power,

be unto him that sitteth upon the throne,

and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
